Story Behind The Song
This song is about being true to one's self, no matter what life presents in terms of temptations and decoys. In the end, it's about accountability, as the bells and clocks call us to...
Song Description
As I'm not the greatest singer, I double tracked my voice to make it work for this song. Who says you can't do a voice 'makeover,' anyway? I added the church bells, alarm clocks, etc., near ending, for interest and to accentuate the lyrical theme: WAKE UP!

Lyrics
Do you feel as if sometimes you are going insane? Is it cause you realize that life is just a game.
Play the way you want to play, but don't you lose your way...
Can't you see you're up agains the causual refrain?
History is telling you that you're the one to blame.
Don't you let them pull you down, don't sell yourself away...
Time is moving down the tracks, an unstoppable freight train!
Will you have the things you need when it's time to feel the pain? Of shedding all those things you thought would bring you wealth and fame.
I'm telling you my friend, right now, it's gonna take some time. To set aside those things you thought would make your life so fine.
Play the way you want to play, but don't you lose your way. Don't sell yourself away.
Would you like to go somewhere, maybe around the world? Find a beach, some trees, some sky. Perhaps a lovely girl...to make a your life complete, replete, with everlasting love.
Or...do you want to fall asleep...relinquish all control?
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!
He's coming for your soul...
